CCCP Fedeli alla Linea, officially written CCCP - Fedeli alla Linea, are an Italian band formed in 1982 in Berlin by vocalist Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and guitarist Massimo Zamboni. The band's style was self-defined by the members themselves as "Musica Melodica Emiliana—Punk Filosovietico" ("Emilian Melodic Music—pro-Soviet punk").Their name, CCCP, stems from the cyrillic script for SSSR, Russian acronym for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, although pronounced following the Italian phonetics.CCCP left behind the stereotypes of punk rock, and reached for a genre-defying convergence of militant rock, industrial music, folk, electropop, Middle Eastern music, and even chamber music while delivering through their lyrics a bleak vision of humankind, also introducing elements of expressionist theatre and existentialist philosophy in their live shows. Cresciuto tra Belgio, Francia e Inghilterra, Gazzè ha da sempre la naturale propensione a mescolare le sue radici italiane con le suggestioni musicali internazionali. Bassista d'eccezione, straordinario musicista, compositore di opere 'sintoniche' e colonne sonore, attore sporadico e pilota sopra le righe: Max Gazzè è un artista ed un uomo capace di spostarsi in ambiti diversissimi sempre con grandissimo successo. In ogni cosa lo muovono una passione e una vitalità sconfinate, una energia che lui trasmette al pubblico in uno scambio reciproco. Apolide nel cuore, cittadino del mondo nella storia personale, Max ha suonato in tre continenti (Europa, America, Asia), è seguito da un pubblico affezionato sparso in tutta Europa; ha collaborato con oltre 30 artisti tra italiani e internazionali (tra cui Stewart Copeland). Musicista e compositore versatile, capace di spaziare dal punk al pop, fino alla composizione sinfonica ("Alchemaya"). The early years The duo, composed of Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina, native musicians from Naples residing in Berlin, formed in 2014 as Nu Guinea and released their self-titled debut EP that same year. In 2015 they began a collaboration with Tony Allen, original drummer of Fela Kuti's afro-beat group, which led to the February 15, 2016 release of the album The Tony Allen Experiments. In 2018, through their own label NG Records, they release the LP Nuova Napoli as a tribute to their hometown, where they combine the use of acoustic instruments with electronics and vocals in the Neapolitan language. The album is highly praised by specialized critics. A national and international tour followed, taking them to various clubs and festivals, such as Dekmantel in Amsterdam, Strawberry Fields in Australia, Queremos! in Brazil, ClubToClub in Turin, New Morning in Paris, Strelka in Moscow etc.
